Photographer Michael Spencer Jones first photographed Oasis in the second year of their career, he then went on to spend five years working closely with the band to produce iconic album covers for Definitely Maybe, Be Here Now as well as (What’s the Story) Morning Glory.

His personal connection to the band is reflected in the intimacy of his photos and the incredible link to surrealism and comedy as with the cover of Be Here Now. The most incredible thing about this photograph is undoubtedly its connection to reality, because it was before the days of Photoshop the Rolls-Royce was actually lowered down into the pool to produce the shoot.
