Description: Football Map is the latest addition to Dorothy's Street Map series of prints where references from the beautiful game are re-imagined roads, rivers, parks and landmarks.

The map is made up from the names of over 500 iconic people and places associated with the sport including much loved grounds like Villa Park, Stamford Bridge, White Hart Lane, Maine Road, Anfield, Craven Cottage, Celtic Park and Camp Nou: favourite stands including Clock End, Stretford End and Spion Kop and training grounds like Finch Farm and Platt Lane; legendary players like Bobby Moore, Rodney Marsh, Nobby Stiles and their comtemporaries including David Villa, Abby Wambach and Gary Cahill; and memorable commentators and pundits like Jimmy Hill and Trevor Brooking (to name just a few).

The map features references from the big clubs battling for top positions in the Premier League and the Scottish Premiership down to the smaller but equally historic clubs languishing in the lower divisions (and some international favourites from further afield). So whether you support Arsenal or Accrington Stanley....there should be something to keep all fans engrossed.

The 19th century style map is loosely based on the area surrounding Parker's Place, a part in central Cambridge that is regarded as the birthplace of Association Football. It was here in 1848 that a group of students drew up and adopted a set of rules for football matches that became the basis for modern rules drawn up by The Football Association in 1863.
